| About the exhibition: Falahfar photographer “Civilization” and “culture” do not always have the same meaning, and I am looking for the meaning of “citizenship” among these and in my photos. In these photos, the “object” is the city and urban elements. But the “subject” is the photographer himself and the question he has – beyond appearances and how – is about “what”. Nevertheless, the photographer does not consider himself in the position or worthy of explanation and answer. Because in the discussion of citizenship, eventually and inevitably; “Cultural matter” is the environment on the individual. Therefore, away from any judgment, it invites the audience to see and “personal perception” with thousands of possibilities and understandable interpretations. But this does not mean the passivity of individuality. Every photo is a slice of what is commonly seen, and every choice will inevitably lead to the orientation and induction of a kind of biological experience to the viewer. The same place where the photographer’s concerns meet with the audience’s vision and the cycle of creating an artwork starts. When the photographer continues to intervene in the image and visual aspects in post-production, he considers himself trapped in this life that continues until “arriving” or “passing”. | |
