About calligraphy
Professor Ali Sajjadi studied under the late Professor Hassan Zarrin Khat (in Tehran) for two years (until 1978) and then studied Persian language and literature at the University of Tehran. Since February 1981, he has been perfecting the art of calligraphy at the Iranian Calligraphers’ Association under Professor Gholamhossein Amirkhani and has also been trained in cursive calligraphy by Professor Yadollah Kabuli. In 1984, he received a certificate of excellence and established the Asadabad Branch of the Calligraphers’ Association in the fall of the same year, and has been working as a supervisor and instructor to this day, resulting in more than sixty graduates with distinction and hundreds of others in other stages of calligraphy.
